Automotive Alignment Technician

Position Overview

Valley King Kustoms is seeking an experienced, dependable, and motivated Automotive Alignment Technician to join our growing team.

We specialize in custom automotive builds, lifted and lowered trucks, suspension upgrades, aftermarket wheels and tires, and general automotive repairs.

We are looking for a technician who takes pride in their workmanship, has strong mechanical knowledge, and can perform precision alignments on everything from stock vehicles to heavily modified trucks and SUVs.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform two-wheel and four-wheel alignments on cars, trucks, and SUVs.
• Perform alignments on lifted, lowered, and custom suspension vehicles.
• Diagnose and correct camber, caster, and toe alignment issues.
• Inspect steering and suspension components for wear, damage, or improper installation.
• Diagnose vehicle pulling, uneven tire wear, steering wheel misalignment, and handling concerns.
• Install and replace suspension and steering components, including control arms, tie rods, ball joints, and related parts.
• Perform suspension adjustments and corrections on modified vehicles.
• Assist with lift kit, lowering kit, and suspension installations as needed.
• Conduct test drives before and after repairs to verify proper operation.
• Maintain alignment equipment, tools, and a clean, organized work area.
• Document findings and communicate recommended repairs to management.

Qualifications

• Previous professional automotive alignment experience required.
• Strong understanding of suspension geometry, steering systems, and alignment procedures.
• Experience operating computerized alignment equipment.
• Experience with lifted trucks, lowered vehicles, and aftermarket suspension systems strongly preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex alignment issues independently.
• General automotive mechanical experience.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be punctual, dependable, and detail-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with custom truck suspension setups.
• Familiarity with aftermarket control arms, adjustable suspension components, and lift kits.
• Experience diagnosing steering and suspension problems.
• Knowledge of tire and wheel fitment.
• Ability to perform general mechanical repairs beyond alignments.
