Responsible for supporting employees throughout the entire employment lifecycle while ensuring efficient office operations and payroll administration. Serves as the primary point of contact for employee benefits, onboarding and offboarding coordination, employee engagement initiatives, payroll processing, office management, and administrative support to staff and executive leadership.
This role promotes a positive and supportive workplace culture aligned with the credit union’s mission, values, and commitment to improving members’ financial well-being. The Employee Support & Engagement Coordinator is expected to be proactive, service-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities with professionalism, discretion, and a collaborative mindset that reflects credit union principles of service, respect, and teamwork.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Assumes responsibility for employee support and benefits coordination.
a. Serves as the primary point of contact for employees regarding medical, dental, vision, retirement, and other benefit programs.
b. Assists employees with benefit enrollment, changes, questions, and issue resolution in a timely, supportive, and service-focused manner.
c. Maintains accurate benefit records and coordinates with benefit providers as needed.
d. Ensures benefit-related documentation is current, organized, and compliant with applicable requirements.
e. Supports employee understanding of benefits as part of the credit union’s commitment to employee well-being.
2. Assumes responsibility for onboarding and offboarding processes.
a. Coordinates onboarding activities including completion of paperwork, system access setup, orientation scheduling, and employee introductions.
b. Ensures new employees experience a welcoming onboarding process that reinforces organizational culture, values, and service expectations.
c. Coordinates offboarding processes including collection of company property, documentation completion, and exit procedures conducted with professionalism and respect.
d. Maintains accurate employment lifecycle records and supports smooth organizational transitions.
3. Assumes responsibility for employee engagement and event coordination.
a. Designs and implements activities and initiatives that promote employee morale, recognition, collaboration, and organizational culture.
b. Coordinates internal meetings, company events, holiday celebrations, wellness initiatives, and appreciation programs aligned with credit union values.
c. Manages event logistics including scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, and execution.
d. Supports initiatives that strengthen teamwork, communication, and employee engagement to enhance overall member service delivery.
4. Assumes responsibility for training coordination.
a. Schedules and coordinates internal and external training sessions and professional development opportunities.
b. Tracks required certifications, compliance training, and development deadlines.
c. Serves as liaison with external trainers, vendors, and service providers.
d. Maintains training records and supports management efforts to develop knowledgeable, service-oriented employees.
5. Assumes responsibility for payroll administration.
a. Coordinates semi-monthly payroll processing including time sheet collection, verification of hours worked, overtime, PTO, and deductions.
b. Maintains accurate time and attendance records.
c. Coordinates with external payroll providers to ensure timely and accurate payroll processing.
d. Resolves payroll discrepancies and responds to payroll-related inquiries professionally and confidentially.
e. Provides pay documentation and reports as requested.
f. Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and internal policies.
6. Assumes responsibility for office management and executive support.
a. Oversees daily office operations including supply inventory, ordering, and vendor coordination.
b. Coordinates office maintenance, cleaning services, and minor facility repairs to maintain a safe, welcoming, and productive environment.
c. Manages office equipment, basic IT coordination, and access control (keys, badges, etc.).
d. Serves as liaison with building management, utilities, and office vendors.
e. Provides administrative support to the CEO including scheduling, travel coordination, expense tracking, and meeting logistics.
f. Helps maintain a professional office environment that reflects the credit union’s commitment to service excellence and community trust.
7. Assumes responsibility for administrative and team support.
a. Provides general administrative support to staff, management, and executive leadership.
b. Assists with communications, scheduling, documentation, and project coordination.
c. Maintains employee personnel files with strict confidentiality and professionalism.
d. Supports organizational efficiency through reliable administrative processes and collaborative teamwork.
e. Contributes to a positive workplace culture grounded in respect, accountability, and service.
8. Assumes responsibility for related duties as required or assigned.

Qualifications
Education/Certification
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s degree, professional certification (PHR, SHRM-CP), or coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Communications preferred. Bachelor’s degree not required.
Required Knowledge
Working knowledge of HR support practices, payroll administration, office operations, and employee engagement principles. Basic understanding of employment law, payroll compliance, and financial institution workplace standards preferred.
Experience Required
Two or more years of progressive experience in HR support, office administration, payroll processing, event coordination, or employee engagement roles required.
Experience supporting executive leadership strongly preferred.
Experience managing business social media platforms desirable.
