What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Assistant position at Valley Internal Medicine and Pediatrics?
**We are not looking to hire anyone currently in college due to this is a full time/long term position. **
As a Pediatric/Adult (primarily pediatrics) Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management. Triage, vitals, vaccine administration ages newborn and older. Keep daily temp log documentation. EMR E clinical works. Answer phones. Fast pace environment. Multi- task environment. Completing forms. Printing and updating blue cards. Monday-Friday 8am-5pm lunch daily 12-1. No MA degree required. experience not required but recommended.
Responsibilities
- Interview patients and document basic medical history
- Organize and schedule appointments
- Update and file medical records and insurance reports
- Arrange hospital admissions and laboratory services
- Check with patients and type up patients charts
- Assist during medical examinations
- Produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms
- Handle receivable and payable accounts and keep financial records
- Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
