What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hydro-Vac Operator position at Valley Hydro-Excavation, LLC?
Valley Hydro-Excavation, LLC is currently seeking a Hydrovac Operator to join our team in Campbellsport, WI (2nd shop in Kaukauna, WI). This position specializes in the excavation of material via a high-pressure water pump to break up and loosen the soil being excavated. We are looking to hire someone who has a strong work ethic and has the ability to work well with others. Day to day operations consist of traveling to job sites around (but not limited too) Wisconsin and Upper Michigan to hydrovac holes and trenches for our customers.
Job Description:
- Perform duties related to the operation of hydrovac equipment.
- Operate and maintain all types of equipment including but not limited to: Hydrovac Truck, Excavator, Drilling Machine, Skid Loader, Forklift, Dump Truck, Pickup Trucks, and Trailers.
- Maintain a safe work environment.
- Work with our team to safely complete tasks as assigned.
- Follow safety and OSHA guidelines at all times.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education/Experience:
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Manual Transmission and Tanker Endorsement
- Previous experience in hydro-vac
- Experience with a variety of hydraulic equipment preferred
- Being mechanically inclined
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
- Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers
- High school diploma or equivalent
- We are willing to train the right person
