Registered Nurse (RN): Full-Time (7:00pm - 7:00am)

Valley Hope of Grapevine, located between Dallas and Fort Worth, provides healing residential and outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment services.
Valley Hope nurses specialize in making patients feel loved from the moment they walk in the door by providing compassionate medical care, key to the short and long-term success of patients in recovery. Nurses typically work with patients from admission to discharge, providing supportive medical care over 30-45 days of treatment, offering a unique treatment approach, and rewarding work experience with hands on help for patients to heal and recover in real time.
The work is fulfilling, mission focused, yet more relaxed than the standard hospital setting.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Associate’s degree in nursing.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse to practice in the state of employment.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
- One (1) year of clinical nursing care work experience.
- Previous experience in substance abuse/behavioral health environments
COMPENSATION:
- Starting Base Pay: $40 - $43 (based on experience and education)
SHIFT DIFFERENITALS:
- Night: $5.00
- Weekend Night: $5.50
- Weekend Day: $1.00

JOB SUMMARY:
- Executes prescribed treatments and medication interventions as established for each patient.
- Implements nursing care in accordance with Valley Hope’s medical philosophies, policies, and procedures as well as any other regulating bodies to ensure quality patient care.
- Conducts detox admissions and provides patient care during patient detoxification process including pre-screening of patients, obtaining physical assessment data and health history, administering detox treatment plans, and monitoring of patient.
- Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely; completes paperwork requirements as needed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicates with nursing supervisors, nursing staff, and clinical staff regarding patients’ treatment and status.
- Follows established policies and procedures for all medical emergencies (i.e., convulsions, suicides, Delirium Tremens, etc.).
- Maintains a safe and sanitary environment applying infection control techniques and universal precautions.
- Oversees non-licensed nursing staff as instructed by and under the direction of the facility Nursing Director.
