Valley Hope of Moundridge, located just north of Wichita, has provided residential drug and alcohol addiction treatment services since 2010.

Education & Experience:
Required:
- Six (6) months previous maintenance/housekeeping/dietary experience
- Valid and unrestricted driver’s license is required.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification; or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
Compensation:
- Starting pay range $17-$20/hr. (based on education and experience)

JOB SUMMARY:
- Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain building, plant and equipment.
- Provides emergency/unscheduled trouble shooting and repairs of building/plant equipment.
- Performs scheduled maintenance and repairs on building/plant equipment.
- Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Performs a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.
- Performs remodeling/maintenance of patient rooms, office space and common areas as directed.
- Uses and maintains a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Ensures safe food handling protocol is maintained at all times within the kitchen and dining areas including that safe hand hygiene compliance, cross contamination prevention, and temperature checks are followed and ensures timely documentation as directed by supervisor, local regulatory body, or written instructions.
- Prepares/supports preparation of daily meals according to weekly menus/recipes or supervisor instruction. Properly increases or decreases recipes as needed for fluctuations in census.
- Prepares/supports preparation of daily meals and/or snacks according to Special Diet needs as ordered by nursing department.
- Maintains all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
- Performs cleaning/sanitizing tasks as outlined on the shift/daily/weekly/monthly cleaning schedules, which may include wash, dust, polish vacuum and sweep all areas of the facility.
- Cleans and sanitizes sinks, tubs, showers and toilets according to prescribed sanitary standards.
- Cleans and sanitizes office and common areas including public and private restrooms, nursing areas and patient laundry areas as directed.
- Cleans, sanitizes, and maintains all flooring according to facility cleaning schedules, which may include tiled, carpeted, polished concrete, wood and other flooring types.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Residential and/or outpatient treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility and may require unloading of food/stock in temperature extremes.
- Able to work non-typical hours, which could include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays; able to work overtime to the extent necessary.
- Able to stand for lengthy periods and to walk including up or down steps or stairs as needed.
- Able to push, pull, pull up, bend at the knees and waist, twist body at the waist, raise and hold arms overhead, kneel, squat, crawl, turn head-neck-shoulders as needed, grasp items with hands, for either extended periods of time or many times throughout the workday.
- Able to reach, move, grasp, handle, control and maintain with one or both hands in order to operate standard kitchen prep and cooking utensils according to manufacturer instruction.
- Able to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
