RESIDENTIAL COUNSELOR / THERAPIST - LPC LCSW - $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (paid out over a 2 year period)

Tuesday - Saturday (8am - 5pm) OR Sunday - Thursday (8am - 5pm)

Valley Hope of Boonville, located just outside of Columbia off I-70, provides Missouri with residential and outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment services.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required:

• Master’s degree in behavioral sciences, education or social work.
• License or credential to function as an alcohol and drug treatment counselor in the state in which the Counselor is working. The successful candidate will be licensed as an LCSW or LPC in Missouri.
• CPR/First Aid Certification
• One (1) year of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling or clinical case management work experience.

Preferred:

• Three (3) plus years of behavioral healthcare clinical counseling or clinical case management work experience

COMPENSATION:

• Starting base salary range from $70,000 - $80,000 per year (Based on education and experience)
• $10,000 Sign-On Bonus (Paid out over a 2 year period)
• $150 incentive per weekend day worked

JOB SUMMARY:

• Provides individual and group counseling, therapeutic intervention, and educational lectures to patients and family members.
• Develops, revises, and implements treatment plans.
• Performs face to face assessments.
• Participates on a multi-disciplinary treatment team to include participating in weekly staff meetings, any staff development, and training as required.
• Develops patient progress reports and establishes follow-up care for patients and their families as needed.
• Provide clinical consultation to referral resources, mentors, family members, and others to help support patients in their recovery.
• Collects and reviews referral information upon assignment of patients and consults with others as needed to support coordination of services.
• Records treatment activities and patient observations in patient records accurately and timely;

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Residential treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility.
