Duties
- Provide visionary leadership for nursing operations, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations including Medicare and HIPAA standards.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and review of individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, emphasizing person-centered care.
- Supervise nursing staff management, including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and shift management to maintain a motivated and competent team.
- Ensure accurate documentation review and maintenance of medical records using Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems for seamless data management.
- Monitor clinical practices related to physiology and anatomy knowledge to uphold high-quality nursing standards across all departments such as assisted living, home health, hospice care, and acute care.
- Lead interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize resident outcomes while ensuring compliance with HIPAA privacy regulations during documentation review and medical records handling.
- Conduct regular audits of care quality metrics and documentation accuracy to uphold excellence in nursing administration and resident safety.
- Stay abreast of regulatory updates related to Medicare, Medicaid, and other funding sources to ensure ongoing compliance and accreditation readiness.
Experience
- Proven management experience in nursing administration within assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health agencies.
- Demonstrated supervising experience leading diverse teams of nurses and healthcare staff in fast-paced environments such as acute care or hospice settings.
- Extensive knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, and best practices in resident care planning.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems used for documentation review, medical records management, and care coordination.
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations governing patient privacy and data security in healthcare settings.
- Experience with shift management strategies that promote optimal staffing levels while maintaining high-quality resident care.
