Job Description
Optometry Navigator primary responsibility is to assist patients in meeting their insurance and clinical requirements to speed time to surgery including obtaining proper documentation from primary physicians, ordering necessary labs, and obtaining prior authorizations from insurances. Optometry Navigator goal is to increase surgery volumes by decreasing time to surgery while maximizing patient satisfaction.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required
Experience
Three years experience in healthcare or physician office setting preferred
Certification & Licensures
Optometry Certification required or obtain within 18 months of hire
Qualifications
Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette required
Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Required
Excellent time management skills required
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work required
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
