What are the responsibilities and job description for the Outpatient Therapist position at Valley Health Care?
Valley HealthCare System is a comprehensive behavioral health care facility serving clients in Monongalia, Marion, Preston & Taylor Counties. We are looking for a compassionate individual to delivery quality therapy clients in our Fairmont Office. We offer completive pay, comprehensive benefit package and sign on bonus.
NATURE OF WORK: As a member of the treatment team, the therapist is responsible for assessing, planning and caring for the behavioral health needs of consumers who are chemical dependent. This involves the application of standardized assessment tools, therapy and counseling techniques, and crisis intervention services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:- Master’s Degree in relevant Human Service Discipline.
- Currently holds or is actively pursing a license in the State of West Virginia as one of the following: LGSW, LCSW, LICSW, LPC, LP or pursuing Licensure as a Psychologist (Gold Card). If holding a provisional LPC License, must obtain a regular license as soon as eligible.
- Previous experience in counseling adults and/or children. Minimum one-year experience.
- Knowledge of agency, state, and federal guidelines.
- Ability to comply with Client’s Rights.
- Ability to comply with Valley’s and Division departmental safety procedures.
- Ability to legally transport client.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate or ability to be trained.
