What are the responsibilities and job description for the Health Care Assistant position at Valley Health Care?
Valley HealthCare System is a comprehensive behavioral health care facility serving Monongalia, Marion, Preston and Taylor Counties. We are in a need of compassionate individuals to care for our Intellectual Developmentally Disabled clients at our unlicensed residential facility. We are currently looking for individuals willing to work 7a-3p with occasional 7a-7p shifts and 3p-11p. NATURE OF WORK: To provide skill development training and supports to consumers with a DD diagnosis. This involves consumer assessment, program planning and implementation. Each employee within the organization is expected to adhere to all safety standards which are in place to provide maximum safety for both staff and consumers. It is each employee’s duty to perform their job safely and to participate in safety trainings as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- Ability to legally transport clients.
- Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, Mandt certifications and other required trainings.
- Ability to comply with Client’s Rights.
- Ability to comply with Valley’s and division departmental safety procedures.
- Ability to read, write, understand and speak the English language.
