Estimator/Project Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to join our team and drive the successful execution of construction projects from initial estimate to project completion. Duties

• Review and interpret construction drawings, technical specifications, and blueprints to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs.
• Develop detailed project estimates using estimating software such as HeavyBid and Xactimate, ensuring accuracy in pricing and cost projections.
• Manage the entire bidding process by preparing comprehensive proposals, negotiating contracts, and securing competitive pricing from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Oversee project budgets by monitoring costs, controlling expenses, and implementing effective cost management strategies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to clarify project scope, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on project goals.
• Lead construction site reviews to assess progress, review technical drawings on-site, and ensure compliance with safety standards and specifications.
• Manage project timelines by planning schedules, coordinating resources, and tracking milestones to ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Maintain detailed records of contracts, change orders, cost control measures, and project documentation for transparency and future reference.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing construction estimating processes with a strong understanding of construction drawing review and interpretation.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam for digital markup of blueprints and technical documents; experience with HeavyBid and Xactimate is highly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with vendors, subcontractors, and clients to achieve favorable terms.
• Solid background in construction management including site supervision, contract administration, and project coordination.
• Strong knowledge of cost management techniques such as estimating material requirements from blueprints and controlling project budgets.
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with diverse teams across multiple projects.
• Construction site experience coupled with a thorough understanding of safety standards and technical specifications.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail in estimating accuracy and project execution.
