Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Installer / Glazer to join our construction team. This role involves installing and replacing windows, glass, doors and related fixtures on various construction sites. The ideal candidate will have experience in glass installation, carpentry, and working with hand and power tools. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, teamwork and quality workmanship.
Duties
- Install, replace, and repair windows, glass panels, exterior doors and other related fixtures on residential and commercial projects
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to install glass and framing components
- Perform caulking, sealing, and trim carpentry to ensure weather-tightness and aesthetic finish
- Measure accurately to ensure proper fitment of glass, mirror, door and window units
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Adhere to all safety protocols on-site to prevent accidents or injuries during installation activities
Skills
- Proven experience in glass installation, window installation/replacement, or glazing work
- Knowledge of construction estimating, schematics reading, and blueprint interpretation
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, drills, levels, caulking guns; familiarity with power tools used in construction
- Experience with fabrication processes related to glass or framing components
- Background in construction site work including carpentry, remodeling, drywall finishing, or maintenance person tasks
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during material handling
- Knowledge of fixture installation including doors, cabinets, trim carpentry, and remodeling techniques
- Skilled in construction finishing work is a plus
- Ability to communicate effectively between sales team and scheduling assuring enough time and material is allocated to projects
