About Us
Valley Friendship Club (VFC) is a nonprofit organization creating social and educational opportunities for kids, teens, and adults with developmental disabilities. Through arts, fitness, life skills, and community events, we foster friendship, inclusion, and personal growth. VFC currently serves over 500 members and hosts more than 60 events each month.
Position Overview
We’re hiring positive, energetic individuals to join our team as a Program Staff Member. This is a great opportunity for paraprofessionals, retired teachers, college students, PCAs, and others passionate about working with people who have a disability.
What You’ll Do
- Support and/or lead in-person fun activities such as game nights, arts & crafts, fitness, hangouts, cooking, and community outings
- Bring energy and positivity to every program
- Capture event photos for outreach
- Assist with program planning and fundraising events
Schedule & Hours
- Most weekday events take place between 2–8 PM
- Typical shifts are 3-4 hours
- 5-20 hours per week, at least two Saturdays per month
- Opportunity for more hours during the summer.

What We’re Looking For
- Recent experience or desire to work with individuals with disabilities
- Valid driver’s license
- Positive, outgoing, and collaborative attitude
- Able to pass background study and driver’s record checks
Essential Duties
- Follow guidance from the VFC Program Director
- Attend training and staff/program meetings as needed
