What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Director of Hospital Compliance position at Valley Forge Medical?
The Assistant Director of Hospital Compliance will be responsible for ensuring the organization’s compliance with accreditation and patient safety standards, including overseeing policy development and implementation and coordinating with departments to ensure adherence to necessary processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to accreditation and patient safety.
- Serve as the organizational liaison with DDAP.
- Monitor and evaluate compliance with accreditation and patient safety standards.
- Lead accreditation and patient safety processes, coordinating with various departments.
- Facilitate continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and experience.
- Stay updated on emerging accreditation and safety standards to ensure compliance.
- Act as a resource for any Environment of Care (EOC) issues, including surveillance, data collection, compliance assurance, and training as needed.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in healthcare accreditation and patient safety, including leadership roles.
- Strong understanding of accreditation and patient safety standards and regulations, including CMS and other relevant agencies.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration or a related field required; MA preferred, CHC preferred.
- Hospital experience is a must.
