Director of Counseling – Substance Use Disorder Program
Valley Forge Medical Center—one of Pennsylvania’s only providers offering ASAM 4.0 Medically Managed Intensive Inpatient Care—is seeking a mission-driven Director of Counseling to lead our integrated counseling department. This is an opportunity to shape clinical excellence in a highly specialized, medically managed addiction treatment environment.
What You’ll Do- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary counseling and Certified Recovery Support Specialist team.
- Oversee ASAM-aligned assessments, treatment plans, and payor-ready clinical documentation.
- Direct group and individual therapy services while ensuring regulatory and payer compliance.
- Build, refine, and innovate clinical programming within an ASAM 4.0 continuum.
- Conduct staff supervision, evaluations, and support professional development.
- Drive quality improvement through data-informed decision-making.
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- CADC or clinical licensure required.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience with substance use disorder populations.
- Demonstrated leadership experience and strong ASAM criteria knowledge.
- Excellent assessment, documentation, and communication skills.
