QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate Degree in business management, business or healthcare administration, nursing or other related field is required. Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
2. Minimum 3 to 5 years previous family practice medical office experience, or equivalent, is required. At least two years of leadership experience is preferred.
3. Must be accurate, exacting, and orderly in work detail, able to multitask, and able to maintain a calm and confident presence in a chaotic work environment.
4. Demonstrate a “can-do” spirit, a sense of optimism, ownership, and commitment.
5. Neat, professional appearance with a pleasant and positive manner.
6. Able to lead utilizing a team-based model.
7. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Must have good computer skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Ensure efficient daily operations of assigned clinic(s) and oversee all employees assigned to your clinic; deliver dependable, team based, high quality patient care; and successful accomplishment of VFHC goals, mission and objectives.
2. Lead recruiting, interviewing and hiring of new employees.
3. Work closely with Nursing Lead; ensure staff are appropriately trained to, and follow job duties according to VFHC processes, standards, governing boards, and pertinent practice acts; continually qualify and act as a knowledgeable resource.
4. Lead development of improved workflows and processes and ensure successful implementation.
5. Evaluate clinic employee performance; manage coaching and discipline and patient complaints.
6. Manage Clinic Budget and participate in Monthly Operations Review.
7. Ensure immunization program led by Nursing Lead is properly administered, according to Idaho and Oregon immunization rules and procedures.
8. Motivate staff and create an environment where all employees thrive.
9. Evaluate employee performance to encourage satisfactory work.
10. Demonstrate confidence in employees, delegate tasks according to the clinic’s needs.
11. Cultivate an environment that helps employees hold themselves and one another accountable for their actions.
12. Use excellent problem-solving skills to develop solutions to daily challenges and conflicts that arise in the workplace addressing performance issues in a timely and appropriate manner following VFHC’s policies and procedures.
13. Lead monthly staff meetings to communicate needed information and build unity within your team.
14. Develop schedule for nursing and provider staff, ensuring adequate staffing and clinic productivity.
15. Assist in preparing financial budgets for your areas of responsibility.
16. Effectively communicate necessary information with all employees under your responsibility and to direct supervisors.
17. Work with Nursing Lead and Quality Department to resolve quality issues and meet assigned metrics.
18. Participate in Clinic Leadership meetings and projects, and ad hoc teams or committees, as appropriate.
19. Travel among different locations of Valley Family, local and possible overnight travel for meetings and conferences outside of Valley Family.
