- Manage daily store operations including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, merchandising, and purchasing to ensure product availability and presentation standards.
- Recruit, interview, train, and develop staff members to build a high-performing team aligned with company goals.
- Implement employee orientation programs and ongoing training initiatives to enhance team skills in retail sales, customer service, and product knowledge.
- Monitor sales performance metrics, prepare budgets, and manage payroll to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and store procedures while fostering a welcoming environment for customers and staff alike.
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or grocery store environments with supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong background in retail math, sales management, inventory management, and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead teams effectively across shifts and departments.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee recruitment, training & development, and performance management.
- Familiarity with POS systems, merchandising strategies, marketing initiatives, and pricing policies.
