Required: Livescan, Mandated reported training and First Aid/CPR Certification.
Duties
- Provide attentive care for children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, social skills, and physical development
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with best practices and safety standards
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing inclusive care tailored to individual requirements
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety regulations
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns that arise during care
- Collaborate with team members to develop classroom strategies that foster positive behavior management and childhood development
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in settings such as daycare centers, preschools, babysitting, nannying, or early childhood education programs
- Knowledge of childhood development milestones and best practices for toddler and infant care
- Familiarity with classroom experience or caregiving roles that involve behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid is highly preferred to ensure quick response in emergency situations
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset
- Demonstrated ability to engage children through teaching activities that support early learning goals
- Strong communication skills for effectively collaborating with families and team members
