What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Medical Assistant position at Valley Dermatology?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a healthcare professional
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Take and record vitals and weights
- Perform phlebotomy when necessary
- Administer medications, specifically injectables, as directed by the provider
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient information
Experience:
- Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology and anatomy knowledge
- Must be current as a certified clinical medical assistant (CCMA), clinical medical assistant (CMA), or licensed practical nurse (LPN)
Skills:
- Strong patient care skills and a compassionate demeanor
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in using electronic medical record systems
- Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team
Pay is based on experience.
