Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Paraeducator to support classroom instruction and student development in an educational setting. Responsibilities
Assist lead teachers in developing and implementing lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy education, math, and early childhood development strategies.
Support students with special needs, including those with autism or other disabilities, by providing tailored instructional assistance and behavioral support.
Manage classroom activities to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment for all students.
Support classroom management efforts by promoting positive behavior and implementing behavior management techniques.
Work closely with students to enhance their social skills, communication skills, and independence through individualized attention.
Assist in preparing educational materials and adapting curriculum for diverse learners, including preschoolers and toddlers.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor student progress and develop strategies for success.
Maintain accurate documentation of student activities, progress notes, and behavioral observations
Requirements
Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
Knowledge of special education practices, classroom management techniques, and behavior management strategies.
Familiarity with curriculum development for literacy, math, and early childhood education.
Experience working with individuals with autism or other disabilities is a plus.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and students.
Ability to adapt instructional methods to meet the needs of diverse learners including toddlers and preschoolers.
Background in childhood development or early childhood education is desirable.
