CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant)

•Assists designated student/s with feeding, toileting, changing and personal hygiene •Demonstrates knowledge, and ability to perform, safe student positioning, including the use of positing aides and lifting equipment •Demonstrates proficient regarding the application and use of brace and body jackets, and adaptive equipment •Demonstrates proficiency regarding the ability to perform oral care. •Follows feeding protocols written by nurse and family •Monitors health related concerns and reports any illness/injury to nurse •Provides assistance with student’s education program as directed by the Principal •Participates in all aspects of classroom program as directed by the Principal •Assists with the maintenance of the classroom supplies including cleaning and care of equipment •Identifies health and safety hazards in the classroom and advises teacher •All other duties as assigned by Principal or Lead Nurse
