Job Description
Valley City Linen is rapidly expanding and is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team, effective immediately! The Maintenance Technician would work with our maintenance team at our industrial laundry plant here in Grand Rapids. This is an entry level position, a great way to get your foot in the door of maintenance and machinery. On the job training and development opportunities available.
Duties and Responsibilities
- General repair and maintenance of processing and building equipment.
- Conduct preventative maintenance and communicate follow up tasks and items from inspections.
- Acquire knowledge and share experience with associate maintenance team members.
- Assess equipment failures.
- Assist in starting up and shutting down of building and equipment.
- Keep record and report all repair work.
- Comfortable using hand tools and power tools.
Qualifications
- Comfortable with working with technicians of varying skill set
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Able to provide and bring tools necessary for daily tasks
- Comfortable with learning new tasks and working off of assigned lists
- Able to work in confined spaces
- Able to lift 50 pounds
- Willing to work overtime during peak season, and every other Saturday to support sustained operational efficiency
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
