Role Overview:
Provides peer support to parents served by the Wraparound and assists them to successfully engage with the high-fidelity Wraparound process and staff. Serves as a values speaker in assuring youth and/or parent voice on all levels of the service delivery process.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide peer counseling and support to parents and caregivers
  • Partner with Wraparound Facilitators and team members
  • Assist caregivers/parents in gaining skills having their voices heard
  • Assist families in discovering and creating community and natural support
  • Achieve 60% productivity (24 hours) billable services per full FTE
  • Support parents/caregivers during child and family team meetings
  • Provide resource referral and linkage to parents/caregivers
  • Assist families in navigating systems to get their needs met

What We're Looking For:
  • Parent of child or youth who is or has been involved in the children’s system of care
  • Demonstration of being well grounded in their own recovery for at least one year
  • Two years of experience advocating and partnering with parents and caretakers of multi-systems involved children
  • Awareness of and commitment to wraparound principles
  • Awareness of and commitment to family-centered and culturally competent care
Other Requirements:
  • Ability to transport clients
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends
  • Pass required background checks
  • Current Driver’s License and automotive insurance, if transporting clients in personal vehicle
