Qualifications
Education
- Program An approved respiratory care program (required)
- Associates Degree An approved respiratory care program (required) Or
- Bachelors Degree In a health related field within five (5) years of placement in position (required)
- BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
- RCP - Respiratory Care Practitioner License - RCB - Respiratory Care Board of California (required)
- RRT - Registered Respiratory Therapist - NBRC - National Board for Respiratory Care (required)
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association PICU only within 12 months of hire or transfer into position (required)
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program - AHA - American Heart Association within six (6) months of hire or transfer into position (required)
- Other - Other Maintains membership in appropriate professional organization(s). (required)
- Minimum three (3) years Experience in Respiratory Care (required)
- Minimum one (1) year Experience in Pediatric Respiratory Care (preferred)
- Demonstrates the skills necessary to plan, implement and evaluate clinical education programs using appropriate educational principles.
