The Manager, Medical Staff Services Department (MSSD) is accountable for expertise, leadership, and staff development. The incumbent is responsible for assisting the Medical Staff and the Hospital and Governing Body in ensuring quality patient care and compliance with State and Federal regulations, ACCME, CCS, NCQA, and Joint Commission requirements. This position coordinates the Medical Staff, Allied Health Practitioners, IPA, and Advanced Practice Professionals credentialing and privileging processes, coordinates the support of the Medical Staff Committees and supports the Medical Staff governance and function.

EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum seven (7) years hospital experience required.
- Minimum five (5) years medical staff activities required.
- Demonstrated human relation, de-escalation and conflict resolution and effective communication skills.
- Current knowledge of State, Federal and JC/NCQA requirements
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:
- College Degree - 4-year Healthcare or related field required OR equivalent experience required.
- If equivalent experience, high school diploma as accredited by the US Department of Education or GED required.
- CPMSM - Cert Profl Medical Svs Mgmt within 12 months of hire or transfer into position required OR CPCS - Cert Provider Cred Specialist within 12 months of hire or transfer into position required.
