Position: Consulting BCBA – hours and days are flexible. Performance of services are coordinated hours between 8:30AM – 3:30PM M-F. (TBD)
Compensation: $100 per hour (DOE)
Closed most major holidays.
Valley CAPS (Center for Advanced Personal Success) is a licensed non-profit organization that has been in operation since 1976. We provide a variety of programs designed to benefit adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Valley CAPS operates five facilities in two counties and has over 200 adults attending on a daily basis. Our Programs are designed to increase the Participant’s skills in self-care and daily living, academics, communication, and employment opportunities.
Job Summary:
In coordination and collaboration with the Program Director the BCBA will assess, analyze, and develop interventions for behavior related challenges. The BCBA will conduct descriptive and systematic behavioral assessments, including functional analysis, and provides behavior analytic interpretations of the results. The BCBA designs and supervises the behavior analytic interventions. The BCBA will effectively develop and implement the appropriate assessments and interventions methods for use in unfamiliar situations and for a range of cases. The BCBA teaches others to carry out ethical and effective behavior analytic interventions based on published research and designs and delivers instruction in behavior analysis.
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in applied behavioral analysis, psychology, education or a related human services field.
- Active BCBA certification issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- At least one-year experience working as a BCBA preferred.
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid California Driver’s License, reliable transportation, and insurance.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check (DOJ/FBI), complete a physical including a 75lb lift test, pass a DOT drug test, and have a negative Tuberculosis (TB) test.
- Current CPR/FA certification.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of behavior technicians in accordance with BCBA regulations.
- Conduct behavioral assessments, functional assessments, and functional analyses.
- Perform assessments and develop behavioral plans.
- Monitors, evaluates and adjusts Participant behavior plans to provide enhanced customer service, meet customer needs and increase customer satisfaction.
- Confer with staff members to discuss participant behavioral and staff training issues, coordinate activities, and resolve problems.
- Coordinate activities concerned with participant service, quality and discuss pertinent items with Directors and others as identified to achieve these goals.
- Review reports and recommend approval to support changes.
- Write clinical recommendation reports and fade out plans as needed
- Work independently and make decisions within the framework of established guidelines.
- Travel between Modesto and Manteca.
