Qualifications
- Education Requirements: High School diploma or Willing to learn. Experience as Scribe preferred.
Responsibilities
- Working 3 Days a week, 4 Hours per day.
- Performing documentation in the EHR, gathering information for the patient's visit, and partnering with the physician to deliver the pinnacle of efficient patient care
- Answer telephones and take appropriate messages among other clerical functions
- Make appointments and schedule referrals to specialists
- Document the physician dictated patient history, including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergies
- Document physical examination findings and procedures as performed by the physician
- Document the results of laboratory and radiographic studies as dictated by the physician
- Document the correct time of patient care related activities, including physician to physician communication, family communication and re-examination of the patient
- Proper knowledge of medical terminology
- Assist with FMLA paperwork
- Respond to tasks in a timely manner
