What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Compliance Officer position at Valley Bank?
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Develop and maintain current knowledge of bank regulations.
- Prepare and lead monitoring programs and may instruct junior officers or other staff conducting monitoring.
- Review and analyze advertising materials. Perform research to determine what regulations are impacted and decide if the materials are in compliance. Provide approval on advertising materials to marketing.
- Research regulations to respond to questions from other departments of the bank.
- Facilitate the completion of compliance related projects.
- Assist in managing Regulatory Compliance Examinations.
- Intermediate to advanced PC skills for Microsoft Office -- Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Ability to conduct research via written materials as well as electronic versions.
- Ability to complete projects effectively.
- Ability to achieve proficiency with varied department software.
- Ability to work independently based on a set schedule.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 3 years of related compliance experience.
- Background in Regulatory Compliance or Compliance Audit.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Having attended the ABA/Institute of Certified Bankers (ICB) Undergraduate Compliance School.
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) designation.
