The Audit-Data Analytics Intern will leverage their analytical skill-set by working closely with the audit teams to develop and apply analytical strategies that will derive insight into the firm's control environment., Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Assist auditors through hands-on analysis of firm data and provide insights from it.
- Seek audit areas of opportunity where analytics can be applied to conduct testing versus the sample approach.
- Generate a visual analysis with charts/graphs for several audits and audit functions.
- Interact with business partners to identify data sources and the data elements required for analytics.
- Work closely with audit staff towards meeting department goals.
- Perform continuous monitoring tasks and evaluate the results.
Required Skills
- Good quantitative, analytical, data-intuition, and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of data analysis tools such as Excel, Access, Microsoft Power BI, ACL, SQL.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Detail oriented, organized, and accurate with information conveyed.
- Ability to be resourceful and work independently.
- High School Diploma or GED and enrollment in a 2 or 4-year degree program.
- An enrollment in a 4-year college or university, with a concentration in MIS, Math, Computer Science or related field preferred.
