Overview
We are seeking a proactive and energetic Service Advisor to join our expanding team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance or repairs, ensuring their experience is smooth, informative, and satisfying. Your automotive knowledge and customer service skills will drive customer loyalty and dealership success.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly, listen to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs for service
- Explain repair and maintenance procedures clearly, providing detailed estimates and service options
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, brakes, transmissions, suspension work, and more to enhance customer value
- Manage service writing tasks efficiently, including creating work orders and updating repair status in the system
- Manage your daily RO's with every customer bein g updated on status
- Maintain comprehensive records of all service activities, customer interactions, and vehicle histories
- Perform video walk arounds and check-in using a tablet recording all damages pre-existing
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or auto service management background
- Strong automotive diagnostics knowledge combined with mechanical understanding of vehicles including transmissions, braking systems, suspensions, shocks & struts, and an overall understanding of vehicles operations
- Experience in auto estimating, service writing, and automotive repair procedures
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly
- Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity and customer trust
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes and tire service operations
- Basic cash handling skills with attention to detail
- Automotive technician experience or mechanic background is a plus for better understanding of repairs
- Knowledge of auto sales processes is advantageous
