Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/ Maintenance person to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to operate and maintain delivery vehicles efficiently. This candidate would also head our locations mainteance program, cleaning, sweeping, and general upkeep of our store.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery vehicles, including vans and trucks, to transport and pickup goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload products using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
- Plan and follow efficient routes for timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Assist with warehouse tasks as needed, including inventory management and organization.
- Vacuum, mop and dust the store, part aisles, and other public areas.
- Cleaning parking lot, shovel, snow blow, lawncare as needed.
- Cleaning restrooms, and restocking necessities.
- Wash and vacuum delivery vehicles.
- Unload and load pallets as needed.
- Front and stock store as required by management.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Familiarity with route driving and commercial driving practices is advantageous.
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.
