What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dirt Crew GPS Bulldozer Operator position at Vallencourt Construction Co., Inc.?
GPS Bulldozer Operator- Utilizing GPS technology, operators are responsible for spreading and grading fill material to desired grades.
- Operate in successive passes over construction surface to raise and lower terrain to specified grade, following marking on grade stakes, hand signals or GPS controls.
- Adjust machine setting to complete tasks according to specification, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Become familiar with digging plans, machine capabilities and limitation and with efficient and safe procedures.
- Flexibility to grade large or confined areas
- Perform a variety of task involving physical labor
- Work is performed under various field and weather conditions
- Must be able to list 50 lbs carry, stand, walk, climb, kneel, bend, twist, push and pull.
- Must wear required PPE as per safety manual and OSHA regulations.
- Work weekends if requested by Foreman
- Communicate effectively with Foreman
- Must have reliable transportation to transport self to the jobsites.
- Jobsites range anywhere from 10-80 miles in one direction
- Must be DRUG FREE
