What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clearing Crew Excavator Operator position at Vallencourt Construction Co., Inc.?
Clearing Crew Excavator operator- Its main purpose is to take down trees, dig stumps, load trucks and gather debris and vegetation into piles and wind rows. Sorting through materials as the job sees fit.
- Operating heavy machinery to move dirt, rock, and other materials to construct roadways, bridges, dams, and other large projects
- Operating construction equipment to remove debris from building sites or excavate soil to construct foundations for buildings
- Keeping records of time spent working, materials used, and equipment maintenance issues to ensure compliance with regulation
- Ensure Company equipment is lawfully operated, cared for, maintained and used effectively.
- Inspect all company equipment before each start up.
- Must wear required PPE as per safety manual and OSHA regulations.
- Perform a variety of task involving physical labor up to 50 lbs
- Work weekends if requested by Foreman
- Communicate effectively with Foreman
- Must have reliable transportation to transport self to the jobsites.
- Jobsites range anywhere from 10-80 miles in one direction
- Must be DRUG FREE
- Medical Drug cards are NOT accepted
