Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nursing Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to patients in various settings, including long-term care facilities, assisted living, memory care units, and hospitals. The Nursing Assistant will assist with daily living activities, support nursing staff, and ensure the comfort and safety of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Monitor and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
- Provide support in mobility and transfers for patients with limited mobility.
- Assist nursing staff with medical procedures and ensure a clean and safe environment.
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding care plans and progress.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all health regulations.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to emergency medicine and patient care.
- Support individuals with developmental disabilities by providing tailored assistance as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in long-term care or assisted living environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with emergency medicine practices is a plus.
- Experience working in a teaching hospital or medical-surgical unit is advantageous.
- Knowledge of physiology and patient care techniques related to ICU settings is beneficial.
- A background in memory care or working with individuals with developmental disabilities will be highly regarded.
