Location: Salinas, California
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Occasional Saturdays paid at 1.75 x regular rate)
Overview:
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Receptionist/Medical Office Clerk. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient experiences in both our family medicine and aesthetic services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a professional demeanor, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Interaction: Greet and check-in patients warmly, assist with completing necessary forms, and ensure accurate collection of demographic and insurance information.
- Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and reschedule appointments for both medical and aesthetic services, optimizing provider schedules and minimizing patient wait times.
- Communication: Handle incoming calls and emails professionally, addressing inquiries or directing them to appropriate staff members.
- Billing and Payments: Collect co-pays and payments, process billing information, and assist patients with billing inquiries.
- Medical Records: Maintain and update patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
- Administrative Support: Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, managing medical record requests,
- Office Maintenance: Ensure the reception and waiting areas are clean, organized, and welcoming for patients.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting, preferably in family medicine or aesthetic services.
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Familiarity with aesthetic procedures and terminology.
