Training Systems Specialist
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises has an immediate opening for a Training Systems Specialist to support the Surface Combat Systems Training Command (SCSTC) in Dahlgren, VA.
Job Description:

Responsible for providing SME-level knowledge and training support to SCSTC Learning Standards personnel on the Navy’s curriculum development and course conversion processes, using authoring tools which include CITRIX-based Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM I/II), Content Planning Module/ Learning Object Module (CPM/LOM), as well as Learning Analysis and Design (LEAD).

Responsible for tracking the status of curriculum conversions from AIM I/II to LEAD authoring tools for all SCSTC courses, through coordination with Rating Leads and the learning site SMEs. Responsible for developing monthly course conversion status reports to be delivered to senior SCSTC leadership.

Responsible for providing database user management support to SCSTC Learning Standards personnel for AIM I/II, CPM, LEAD and the SCSTC Training Scheduling System (TSS) account access and course permissions.
Qualifications:

Must have a High School diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years’ hands-on experience with Military Learning Management Systems, Planning Process Methodology documents.

Must have knowledge and experience with the PADDIE M model, used for developing Navy training and education programs.

Must have knowledge and experience with creating SCORM packages to move and track courses between different Learning Management Systems.

Must have experience in reviewing training schedules, Navy Training System Plans, Planning Process Methodology documents, and Navy Enlisted Occupational Classification System.

Must have knowledge of the Navy’s Business Case Analysis (BCA), Front End Analysis (FEA), Job Duty Task Analysis (JDTA) in the development of curriculum. Demonstrated experience in the analyses of change recommendations and determination of impact on system readiness and user functionality pertaining to both USN and FMS issues.
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with Learning Management Systems; specifically AIM I/AIM II, CPM, LOM, and LEAD, preferred.
- Ability to apply knowledge and experience and perform course curriculum conversions, preferred.
- Ability to develop and deliver LMS training, preferred.
Security Requirements:
- Must have a DoD Secret security clearance or be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance.
Travel Requirements:
- 10-15%-Minimal travel required.
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.
