Communications Manager
Purpose:
- Valkyrie Enterprises is hiring a Communications Manager who will support the company’s branding and communication functions, while being a strategic partner to our corporate and business operations. The position is based in our Virginia Beach, VA corporate office with a flexible work environment.
Job Description:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies to promote Valkyrie’s mission and goals.
- Lead the Valkyrie Branding Campaign.
- Develop and maintain the company communications strategy.
- Working with business development and the business areas, identify and run campaigns on key messages and branding related to targeted business opportunities, customers, and industry sectors.
- Regularly develop and publish articles, news releases and branding talking points to stimulate internal and external interest in Valkyrie.
- Coordinate with business development and operations to develop and maintain an up-to-date version of marketing slip sheets, company briefs, capability briefs, and tradeshow material.
- Develop and implement social media campaigns.
- Ensure internal and external websites, as well as all company social media sites (Linkedln, X, etc) are kept up-to-date and relevant.
- Create and manage a consistent theme for all published content on all media platforms (social media, internal / external websites, SharePoint, etc. ).
Qualifications
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a communications/public relations role.
- Must have a proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have strong organizational abilities and a proven understanding of brand messaging and management.
- Must have proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems.
Desired Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in communications or public relations, preferred.

Travel Requirements:
- Occasional travel-up to 10 -15%
- If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain (by start of position) and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID. Physical Requirements:
- Work generally performed in an office setting but may require occasional visits to industrial or shipboard settings.
- Will normally require minor lifting and carrying of boxes of supplies/equipment.
