What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Clinical Operations Associate position at Valius Sciences?
Valius is building a new model for precision oncology. We help cancer patients and their physicians make more informed treatment decisions through comprehensive molecular testing and rigorous scientific analysis.
We’re looking for a Senior Clinical Operations Associate to run the operational engine behind our patient programs. This role is about execution excellence: coordinating tissue logistics, managing testing workflows, following through with vendors, and ensuring that every patient case moves forward accurately and on time.
You’ll work directly with the founding team in a fast-moving startup environment, with significant ownership from day one. As we grow, this role has the potential to expand into broader Clinical Operations leadership.
What You'll Do
- Own patient case operations end-to-end: Track each active case, manage timelines, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks from consent through results delivery.
- Coordinate tissue and biomarker logistics: Work with hospitals, pathology departments, and labs to retrieve, ship, and track specimens accurately and efficiently.
- Manage vendor execution: Place test orders correctly, follow up relentlessly, troubleshoot delays, and confirm results are complete and accurate.
- Maintain operational rigor: Ensure documentation, consent forms, and internal trackers are accurate, organized, and audit-ready.
- Partner with the scientific team: Coordinate test sequencing and information flow so analyses move forward smoothly and efficiently.
- Support company-wide initiatives as needed: In a small team, you may help with cross-functional projects such as conference preparation and operational build-out
