Job Description
We are seeking detail-oriented individuals to support our Background Investigation department through research . This is a 1099 independent contractor position, fully remote. Applicants must have access to a computer, high-speed internet, and a smartphone. Familiarity with criminal legal matters and the ability to interpret court minute entries is highly desirable. This will require visits to multiple courthouses nearby.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research on court cases and legal documents to extract relevant information.
- In-person reviewing of documents within the courthouse
- Analyze and summarize data to support legal teams in case preparation.
- Maintain organized and accurate records of research and findings.
- Collaborate with attorneys and staff to ensure timely and accurate information delivery.
- Stay informed about updates in legal procedures and regulations that may affect research.
- Able to write down necessary information as provided from the court and transfer into digital system.
Qualifications
- Excellent research and analytical skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of legal terminology and court processes.
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with research tools, databases, and standard office software.
- Familiarity with court process and jargon.
- Understanding of legal language and legal process.
