SUMMARY: In this role, we are seeking an experienced, energetic, creative and self-driven individual to be a part of the Hardware Engineering Team. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and evaluating electronic components and systems used in gaming technology. Responsibilities
- Understand company Mission, Vision, and Values and be an ambassador of MVV.
- Design, develop and manage electronic components and systems used in gaming technology.
- Design systems and components driven by conceptual architected requirements including printed circuit board assemblies and harnesses.
- Support sustaining engineering, failure analysis reports and product lifecycle management.
- As a subject matter expert, lead/support problem resolution during product development and production phases of programs as needed.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers for fit, form, assembly, and environmental constraints of electronic components.
- Collaborate with Software, Firmware, System Engineers, and Game Designers for development of programming and control functions of electronics systems and components.
- Collaborate with safety (UL and FCC) and gaming jurisdiction labs for production release of developed products.
- Support and advise the Operations and Sourcing team for the selection and qualification of electronic contract manufacturers, prototypes and pilot orders for new products.
- Develop documentation for design, test, assembly and integration of electronic components and systems.
- Create manufacturing release documents of electronic components and harnesses.
- Ideal candidate will have at least B.S. degree in electrical engineering (or equivalent) with 5 years of prior work and/or research experience, preferably in gaming, and keen sense for broader market application of those technologies.
- Some experience and/or expertise in a few of the technologies such as displays, touch, audio, LED lighting & signage, etc. is required.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills with proficiency in MS Office tools.
- Exceptionally self-motivated, directs and manages priorities judiciously with keen attention to details.
- Prior experience in a highly regulated environment designing products to comply with global EMC and safety standards is preferred.
- Experience w/PCBA/FPGA/Firmware and hardware/software development skillset using electrical engineering 3D CAD tools and lab instrumentation is highly desirable.
- Experience using motors, actuators, sensors, dev boards and embedded computers is desired.
- Knowledge or experience with common electronic interfaces such as USB, SATA, PCIe, SPI, I2C, Ethernet etc. is a plus.
- Maybe required to bend, reach, and lift to 25lbs.
- Some travel may be required.
