Plant Operator II
Valicor Environmental Services is looking for a Plant Operator II to work in our Adamsville, AL facility.
Job Duties
- Load and unload trucks at the facility
- Log in all weights and counts of loads
- Safe chemical handling including bulk unloading and transfer of chemicals
- Treatment of waste streams with the use of heated tanks and chemicals
- Operate pumps, valves, PLC screens and other light industrial equipment
- Operate biological WWTP including OWS, EQ, MBR, DAF, Lamella and other mechanical solids management equipment
- Conduct WWTP laboratory analysis for operational performance and operational adjustments
- Perform mathematical calculations for chemical dosages, RAS/WAS and loadings
- Conduct benchtop stream treatability for required chemical dosages
- Complete minor mechanical repairs
- Operate forklifts in a safe and efficient manner
- Complete daily forklift inspection
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all plant safety policies and practices
Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk throughout duration of shifts
- Must be able to pass all required safety/environmental courses upon hire
- Ability to safely climb ladders and steps
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be willing to learn the operation and adhere to ALL safety guidelines
- Must be self-motivated and posses personal accountability
- Ability to use computer (data entry)
- Must be willing to work 1st or 2nd shift
