Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and experienced Program Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing complex defense programs, ensuring successful execution, and delivering high-quality solutions to our clients. This is an exciting opportunity to lead impactful projects and drive the growth of our defense business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage multiple defense programs, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and project teams, providing regular updates and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Develop and maintain program plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocations, and risk management plans.
- Monitor program performance and progress, identifying and addressing issues or risks as they arise.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and teamwork to achieve project goals.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, and regulatory guidelines.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and communications, providing timely and accurate reporting on program status, milestones, and deliverables.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies, driving continuous improvement initiatives across programs.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to project managers and team members, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in program management, preferably in a defense or aerospace environment.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and managing complex defense programs from inception to completion.
- Strong understanding of program management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project teams.
- Experience with contract management, budgeting, and financial management.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) and other program management tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of defense acquisition processes and regulations.
- Experience with proposal development and contract negotiations.
- Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and develop strategic partnerships.
