Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) to join our team on a part-time evening schedule. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting clients through their recovery journey, providing a safe and professional environment.Your energetic approach will help create a safe, nurturing environment where clients can thrive. You will collaborate with the team to implement treatment plans, monitor patient progress, and ensure compliance with healthcare standards such as HIPAA. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives while developing your skills in behavioral health and patient care.
Responsibilities
- Supervision: Monitor and lead clients through their daily routines and evening activities, ensuring their safety and well being.
- Support: Engage clients in meaningful conversations to assist in their recovery and help process information revealed in group sessions. Implement behavior management techniques.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure the building is in compliance with safety and fire regulations and follow strict center protocols.
- Medication: Aid clients with the self administration of medications.
- Documentation: Record daily activities, as well as observations and client behavior in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) database. Ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards
- Transportation: Drive and supervise clients at 12-step meetings, church, or other scheduled outings as needed.
- Facility Care: Assist with light cleaning, meal serving, and facilitation of client chores.
- Implement behavior management techniques
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: A minimum of 1 year of experience in the field or a relatable field is preferred.
- Education: Addiction or Mental Health education is an asset; a Certified Peer support specialist or a Bachelor's degree is preferred. Engage in ongoing training related to crisis management, and addiction related topics.
- Sobriety Requirement: Applicants in recovery must have a minimum of 5 years of proven sobriety.
- Clean Living: All employees must abstain from ALL legal and illegal addictive substances, including alcohol, and marijuana, both on and off shift. Hiring and random drug testing will be administered.
- License: Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Background: Must be able to pass a Level II background check and random drug/alcohol testing.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
