Valiant is looking for a WARSIM Database Administrator to join our team!
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Warfighter Simulation (WARSIM), Database Manager. Responsible for planning, developing, and executing constructive simulation training activities and scenarios.
- Develop, manage, and maintain the simulation database, using tools such as the Joint Training Data Services (JTDS).
- Develop, test, and evaluate new platforms against current platforms in WARSIM database.
- Enter all weapons and Force data; create operational graphics and overlays for the simulation systems.
- Develop and enter BLUFOR/OPFOR/Neutral force structure according to doctrinal standards.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. Active Secret preferred.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma
- Must have Security certification and additional certifications to meet DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certification.
- Desired: Associate degree in computer/information technology, or mathematics, or related field.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years’ military experience or 7 years working in support of military operations, as a civilian.
- 1 years' experience with WARSIM or other entity level combat simulation.
- Strong working knowledge of Linux and Windows. In depth knowledge of military equipment, organization and capabilities.
- Must be able to travel unaccompanied to continental US and foreign locations.
- Must submit to and pass pre-employment drug screening.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience with large scale live, virtual, constructive exercises, ideally at a Combat Training Center or mission training complex.
- 2 years’ experience at a military battle simulation center.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing, extended sitting or standing, to various degrees.
