What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plumber/Pipefitter position at Valiant Integrated Services?
Responsibilities/Duties:
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of pipes including valves, drains and fixtures in all types of structures, heating, domestic water, and drainage systems as well as all their supporting equipment
- Responsible for operation, maintenance and repairs on faucets, sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, and a variety of industrial water softening systems, RO & DI, wastewater, as well as their supporting equipment
- Responsible for all medical gas and compressed air fixtures, to include all gauges, valves, regulators, strainers, components, and piping.
- Coordinating with the Project Manager and other project professionals on a jobsite
- Understanding and following blueprints or building plans.
- Following current codes and regulations related to plumbing.
- Keeping and maintaining records of time spent on a job and materials used for the work.
- Preparing budgets and estimating costs to bid on potential work.
- Responding to plumbing emergencies, determining the issue, and making a repair in a timely manner.
- Performing regular maintenance of plumbing systems to prevent emergencies.
Pay Rate:
The rate for this position is $49.52/hr. However, Valiant considers several factors, including but not limited to, market data, business considerations, internal equity, the role and responsibilities of the position, a candidate's work experience, education, and training, when extending an offer.
