About the Opportunity
A growing and entrepreneurial energy company with operations in the upstream oil & gas sector is seeking a highly capable, detail-oriented professional to join our downtown Houston office. This is a unique opportunity for someone who wants broad exposure to how an independent energy business operates across multiple functions.
This role goes far beyond a traditional administrative position. The right candidate will become an important part of the organization and gain hands-on experience across regulatory, legal, finance, insurance, compliance, commercial, and operational activities.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities may include:
- Coordinate regulatory filings and communications with state and industry agencies
- Assist with legal and paralegal-related support, including organizing contracts, maintaining corporate records, tracking filings, coordinating signature packages, and supporting outside counsel
- Support insurance renewals, bonding matters, and related documentation
- Assist with accounting processes, reconciliations, and internal reporting
- Organize contracts, records, land files, and key corporate documentation
- Interface professionally with vendors, counterparties, landowners, consultants, attorneys, and service providers
- Help manage office operations and improve internal processes
- Assist with HSE documentation and compliance tracking
- Support HR administration, onboarding, and personnel records
- Provide back-office support related to marketing and hedging activities
- Work alongside senior leadership on special projects, transactions, and strategic initiatives
