PROJECT MANAGER (DATA CENTER SOLUTIONS)

Valex is seeking for a Sales, Project Manager (Data Center Solutions) to join our Round Rock, TX location. The Sales Project Manager (Data Center Solutions) is responsible for managing sales and project execution for high-purity stainless steel components (e.g., tubing, fittings, valves) & contract manufactured solutions used in data center liquid cooling applications. This role drives revenue through new and existing client accounts, oversees project scopes involving standard/custom products, open order line items management, and ensures timely delivery and quality compliance. The position requires close collaboration with clients, engineering teams, and supply chain partners to support data center construction and supporting OEM equipment. The Sales, Project Manager reports through the Valex Sales organization and receives authority through the Senior Director, Sales.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales and Account Management:

o Develop and maintain relationships with key clients to drive sales of liquid cooling components and manufactured assemblies.

o Identify new sales opportunities for data center projects, leveraging market trends

o Negotiate pricing and terms, ensuring competitive margins.

• Project Scope Management:

o Oversee new product introductions and fabricated open order line items, ensuring alignment with client specifications.

o Process and respond to Purchase Orders within contractual timelines.

o Coordinate with engineering and manufacturing to develop custom solutions for liquid cooling systems.

• Delivery and Quality Assurance:

o Ensure timely delivery of products to client-designated locations, adhering to contract terms (e.g., safe packaging, delivery schedules).

o Internally communicate quality control and inspection requirements, ensuring defect-free products and compliance with warranty obligations (e.g., Valex’s 1-year defect liability or customer specific liability agreements).

o Address client issues (e.g., returns, defects) promptly, coordinating replacements or repairs as needed.

• Factory Coordination:

o Collaborate with internal engineering, materials, manufacturing, planning and quality teams to ensure availability of materials for production timelines. Including forecast guidance.

o Managing / analyze potential risks post-delivery as per contract terms.

• Contract Compliance:

o Adhere to contractual obligations, including product exclusivity agreements, intellectual property protections, and corporate export compliance rules.

o Maintain confidentiality of client and technical data, sharing only as necessary for project execution.

• Market and Industry Alignment:

o Stay informed on data center market trends, and liquid cooling demand.

o Provide input on product development opportunities to align with customer driven requirements.

• Reporting and Documentation:

o Track project progress, sales metrics, and order statuses using ERP and project management tools.

o Prepare reports for clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring transparency on delivery, quality and forecast.
