What are the responsibilities and job description for the Human Resources Assistant position at Valex Corp?
The Valex Human Resources department is seeking a Human Resources Assistant to join its team in Ventura, CA. Your primary responsibilities will include all aspects of the hiring process (job advertising, interview set-ups, pre-employment testing set-ups, background checks, onboarding, etc) in addition to performing clerical duties including data entry, scanning, filing, auditing, etc. Eventually, you will be cross-trained in other areas or HR including, but not limited to, employee relations, LOA administration, payroll, the termination process, etc. You may also help other departments with their clerical needs if time permits.
The successful candidate will have 2 years' HR experience and a minimum of a high school diploma (some college preferred). You'll have great written and verbal communication skills, great organizational skills, and experience with MS Office and navigating database software. You must be able to work as a team and independently and must be punctual with good overall attendance.
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. The pay range is $22-$25 per hour depending on experience. The hours are 8am to 4:30pm (OT possible), Monday thru Friday. Please visit the employment section of our website at www.valex.com to submit your resume. Thank you.
