General
- Apply knowledge of technology procurement and contract management to support efficient and compliant purchasing processes.
- Coordinate procurement activities for the Information Services Division across software, hardware, telecom, and professional services.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, standards, and procedures.
- Identify and implement incremental improvements to procurement processes and documentation.
- Build effective working relationships with internal stakeholders and business partners.
- Support and, when appropriate, lead sourcing efforts and contract negotiations for technology purchases.
- Engage with suppliers and internal stakeholders to evaluate sourcing options and recommend vendors based on cost, quality, and service.
- Manage vendor relationships, including issue resolution, performance tracking, and contract lifecycle activities (renewals, amendments).
- Assist in drafting and revising contract terms in coordination with internal subject matter experts.
- Handle multiple sourcing and procurement efforts while prioritizing to meet business needs.
- Provide guidance to internal clients on procurement processes, vendor engagement, and contract considerations.
- Support leadership by preparing analysis and recommendations related to vendor selection, cost savings, and contract structures.
- Contribute to process improvements, risk mitigation, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Support financial analysis, including spend tracking and cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure purchases align with approved budgets and procurement processes.
- Review contracts for alignment with company policies and escalates non-standard terms as needed.
- Coordinate with Legal, Compliance, Security, and other stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are met.
- Assist in resolving contract-related issues and provides interpretation of contractual terms.

Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 8 years of relevant technology procurement experience required.
- Able and willing to work onsite and in-person at the Valero Headquarters in San Antonio, TX.
- Bachelor’s degree (or higher) or foreign equivalent degree - related field preferred.
- Technology Procurement certification preferred.
